Since working at the Pratt Museum of Natural History I have added neoichnology to my photographic interests. That is the study of modern traces. Edward Hitchcock was the founder of paleoichnology. Here are some crow tracks in fine mud showing toe pads, claws, scale impressions and the bird's tarsus.
